Agbeam is for those who demand quality product, quality service and long-term benefit that offers:
- Lightweight hollow section Galvanised beam, purpose made to support Kiwifruit and other
load bearing horticultural crops. - Consistent specifications on product quality; no knots, warping or brittleness. A clean
smooth surface preventing insect or fungus accumulation. Much stronger and lighter than
wood. - Simple joining methods using slip on galvanised sleeve.
- Significant (60%) savings on time and labour over conventional timber pergola.
Industrial Tube Agbeam is manufactured using either a 1.15mm or 1.55mm Pre Galvanised
base material sourced from New Zealand Steel. It is then shaped into a hollow section with
outside dimensions of 63mm x 37.6mm. The finished product has Tensile Yield strength of
350MPA minimum, and a total Zinc Coat weight of 450 grams per square metre shared over
both external and internal surfaces.

ITM Joiner is also made in two wall thicknesses 1.55mm (Standard) and 1.85mm (Heavy)
with the same performance specifications as Agbeam. Both sizes are designed to simply
slide over the Agbeam as a connecting sleeve.
Available Lengths
Industrial Tube Agbeam is normally milled in 5 to 10 metre lengths within a - 0 / +50mmtolerance. These are packed in bundles of 50 lengths. Shorter lengths and smaller quantities
are available on request but may incur additional surcharges.
ITM Joiners are Precision-cut to 400mm lengths and delivered in palletised bundles. Other
lengths can be manufactured to meet specific requirements, especially where longer Joiners
can provide additional load capacity.
Production Timetable
Industrial Tube Agbeam is milled monthly February to September with additional mill runs
outside of this period scheduled as required. The Mill Run generally takes place from the 3rd
week of the month with delivery following soon after. Our intention being to complete Mill
Run deliveries before the end of the month.

Between Mill Runs we also hold a stock of Heavy and Standard Agbeam in the main lengths
required should the customer require delivery at short notice. Freight for these deliveries
will be charged on a freight recovery basis less our freight rebate.

Wherever possible deliveries will be made direct to site, however access limitations and off-
loading requirements may incur additional costs by arrangement.

Costings
ITM Agbeam and Joiner is sold on a per metre basis either to the end user direct, their selected contractor, or their horticulture or steel merchant.Costs include a freight rebate that provides free Hiab delivery into the Western Bay of Plenty and South Auckland areas. This is based on full truckloads leaving our store. For other areas and smaller loads that require an alternative transport provider, freight will be charged on a recovery basis less our freight rebate.
Under specified conditions we offer Prompt Payment Discount and a Pack Rate Discount. Please enquire directly or with your chosen supplier for details.
